Game Jolt(ed) Lover

Game Jolt

Maybe, like the proverbial deer in headlights, you froze when faced by the oncoming awesome of The Indie Bundle.  Or, maybe you just didn’t have the cash to throw down during the limited time offer.  While understandable, both of these options result in an unfortunate lack of indie gaming in your life (an important part of any balanced gaming breakfast).  But what if there was a place where you could get brand new indie games for the low, low cost of free ninety-nine?  Well hit the jump, Carey Mulligan, because you’re about to get an education.  Oh snap!

That magical place is real, and it’s called Game Jolt, where independent developers make their games available for download free of charge.  Check out Hellion, described by its creator as “a cross between Dragon Warrior, Diablo and D&D”.  Umm, yes.  SNES graphics AND the Kensai as a playable class?  You’re welcome, Wade.

There seems to be a good variety of games, with new ones being added all the time.  If you decide to check out the site and you find any gems, be sure to let the rest of us know.
