Tron: Legacy Viral Continues

Posted by on Dec 13, 2010

We’re now less than a week away from the release of the new Tron movie.  Of course, I probably don’t have to tell you that.  You’re probably listening to Daft Punk’s score to the movie (again) as you read this.  I’m certainly listening to it as I type.  That being said, with excitement for Tron: Legacy reaching a fever pitch, there’s nothing quite like coming home to find a package in your mail box courtesy of Flynn Lives.  Hit the jump to see its contents.

For my participation in the ongoing viral campaign for the movie, I’d already received vintage video game postcards and my very own ENCOM security badge (which is quite possibly the coolest thing ever).  Wade had talked about attaching the lanyard to his normal work ID to see if anyone noticed, but he probably chickened out.  Anyway, this package was something different.  A couple of pins celebrating the 8-bit history of video games (as seen in the Arcade Aid part of the campaign).

Pretty cool stuff.  Kudos to whomever is running this viral campaign because they’re doing it right.

  • Saw Tron: Legacy the other day.

I think it’s reasonably good (not a work of brilliance to be sure), but probably the most impressive thing is how true it stuck to the original
