…And Now For Something Completely Different: Radiation!

We spend a lot of time arguing about whether Diablo III or Torchlight 2 is more exciting, debating digital ownership, and getting excited about the new Arkham game. That being said, we’re not oblivious to the outside world.

The recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan are tragedies on an epic scale and it reminds us that the world is much bigger and powerful than us little people with our movies, video games, comic books and more. It also reminds us that there are completely insane people (mostly in California) who are taking treatment to prevent radiation poisoning from a nuclear reactor thousands of miles away.

And so it is that I bring you a public service announcement, courtesy of my favorite web comic XKCD: a visual depiction of different levels of radiation from a variety of sources. Check it out here, and try to calm down.
