Reminder: LoTR Extended Edition Re-Released in Theaters
For those of you plugged into the nerd world, this is rather old news. We here at NNAR heard about this back at the end of April, discussed it excitedly amongst ourselves, and then totally brain farted on posting about it. Whoops. However, while on Fandango today purchasing my own tickets, I realized that a simple reminder could prevent mass wailing and gnashing of teeth by Tolkienites everywhere.
What you need to know:
All three movies will be shown in AMC Theaters for 1 day only. This is being done to promote the extended edition blu-ray release on June 28th, to get hype up for Peter Jackson’s new installments of The Hobbit, and because its a frickin’ great idea. The versions shown will be the extended editions (yup, the long ones, so prep your bladders). Tickets can be purchased in advance on Fandango. Block off these dates and don your mithril shirt – don’t be a fool of a Took.
The Fellowship of the Ring – June 14th 2011 (Run time 3 hours & 50 minutes)
The Two Towers – June 21st 2011 (Run time 3 hours and 55 minutes)
