Fanboys and fangirls everywhere have been waiting for this moment for more than decade: the moment when we would finally get a release date for Diablo III. That moment is now, and the release date is May 15, exactly two months from today. If you are anything like us, this means you have exactly two months to get your affairs in order, say goodbye to your loved ones, and finish up any other games you may be in the middle of, because once that date hits, we won’t be doing anything but playing this game non-stop. Full press release after the jump.
In life, one comes to count on certain, never changing constants. These give us a point of reference when everything else seems to be in flux. The speed of light is 300,000,000 meters / sec; gravity on Earth is 9.81 meters / sec2; pi is 3.14159; and Duke Nukem Forever will always be in development and never be released. Well somebody had better double check the value of pi, because my world was turned upside-down today when Gearbox Software issued a press release announcing that Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold and will be released in North America on June 14th.
Obviously, I love video games. I have always loved them, and in my life, I have played countless different games. There are very few games that I have played through more than once, however. The original Deus Ex is one of those games, and while a game that does manage to get another look usually only gets a second playthrough, I have played Deus Ex from start to finish nearly a dozen times. It should be obvious, then, that I am paying close attention to the upcoming third installment in the series. The new trailer has been released at the recent Tokyo Game Show, and you can see it in all of its glory after the break.
